Today marks the second year of us being legally married. It’s been a challenging two years as husband and wife – we’ve gone through a fair bit of ups and downs, and more downs this year. I guess I now know the “four sayings of love” better than I used to.
Suan, Ku, La, Tian (sweet, sour, bitter and spicy) has been a popular saying in Chinese marriages, but I view it in the context of “for better or worse” since I’m not that accustomed to the Chinese tradition. I still remember the day clearly — I was a nervous wreck because things didn’t go very orderly that morning.
But the ROM was beautiful. I really couldn’t have asked for anyone better. I’ve been so blessed with a great husband, which I (regrettably) have been taking for granted. And despite all that, he still loves me unconditionally and stands by me.
To my better half,
Thank you for loving me and being there for me, especially during times when I was so difficult and emotionally demanding. I only hope to be as caring, loving, patient and supportive as you are to me. Here’s to many more years of “sweet, sour, bitter and spicy” moments together. 🙂

Darling,
Happy anniversary to you too!
Thank you to you too for being there for me all these years,
understanding what I am going through and most important of all supporting me when I need you the most 🙂
