rif and I celebrated our wedding anniversary this month – our 3rd. And while we’re still considered recently married, it doesn’t stop me from finding out that “happily ever after” is not a given. It requires persistence, planning and prioritizing.
When we did the marriage preparation course, I knew that marriage was not going to be a piece of cake. But I didn’t expect it to be this difficult either. The obstacles we need to face, the sacrifices to be made, and the amount of respect, forgiveness and commitment required.
To mark our third year of marriage, rif took me to Krabi for a short getaway. He splurged on a business class flight, 5 star hotel and dinners at nice Thai restaurants, and I loved every bit of it. It felt really good to be pampered. Not having to worry about the blog or work, and best of all, being able to spend time together by the beach.
Thank you rif, it was the best holiday I’ve had this year! 🙂
