Todai is an international seafood and sushi buffet restaurant in Marina Bay Sands that boasts an impressive selection of local and international dishes. I was quite excited to try what was hailed as “The Mother of All Seafood Buffets” during my stay at Marina Bay Sands.
I rather enjoyed the sushi selection — they were beautifully crafted and tasted good too. And you know what the best part was? They serve bacon. Pork bacon. :D :D :D Ok, I know I sound jakun here, but we don’t get such good fortune in Malaysia. The salmon sashimi was relatively fresh, as was the tuna.
One of my favourite buffet items included the bacon and prawn roll. Crisp, fatty bacon and juicy prawns, it was moreish and I couldn’t stop at just three. I had eight. I also enjoyed the smoked duck breast but not so much the pork ribs. The latter was dry and poorly seasoned.
The mango cheesecake was lovely — Tangy, fruity and not overly sweet. For something light, try the green tea mousse cake. But I’m more of a densely flavoured and textured cake, so I thought the chocolate ones were best. On a whole, I found the food quite decent but the selection wasn’t as extensive as I expected it to be. Maybe because I went there for lunch.
Oh well, there’s always another visit. The buffet includes soft drinks, coffee, Teh Tarik and Tea. All alcohol drinks are chargeable. Lunch cost S$42++ per person on Monday and Wed, and S$46++ per person on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Dinner cost S$58 per person on Monday and Wed, and S$68++ per person on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

I will be as excited as you too if I found pork bacon in an restaurant :P
Hahahaha…too bad our gomen not as sporting.
I thought your post was todi, lol…I read it too fast, sorry. Best bacon I had was from Spain, crispy and crunchy!
I’m sure! I have yet to visit Spain.
I haven’t either even thought it’s only a short hop away. Best vegetables and fruits are from there, hands down! Currently it’s grapes season..have you eaten grapes which are sweet and crunchy?
Ahh … have walked by Todai quite a few times but never dared to venture in. Not so much because of price, but because wedding is coming and I sort of need to cut down on the food intake! :D
