This will be the first time I am trying out cream colours, having never wanted to before because it just didn’t appeal to me and I was worried the colours wouldn’t stay or wouldn’t blend properly.
Provided with helpful make-up patterns created by the renowned British make-up artist Dick Page, I picked the Winter Woods look that is composed of rich, deep browns for an intense, elegant effect. Well, I just hope that whatever happens I end up elegant at least!
Working with the 2 Shimmering Cream Eye Colour I had (Kitsune & Garnet), this was the look I managed to create!
It didn’t quite turn out exactly as what I had hoped, but that’s probably because I wasn’t sure how to use these cream eye shadows and erm, ended up with a really dark wash of Kitsune over the entire lid! The colours are really pigmented so a soft dab would be enough to cover most of your lid. I had to learn that the hard way! #momentofpanic #iputtoomucheyemakeup #creamshadownoob
Cream eye shadow shades I used:
Garnet VI730, in a cool brownish violet shade, this colour is perfect for creating a wearable jewel-toned effect around the eyes.
Kitsune BR731, inspired by the luxurious reddish brown shades of a fox coat, this colour is intensely lush & deep.

Close up of the eye colours. Because I can’t live without eyeliner, I popped on some brown eyeliner on the top.
This is definitely one of my favourite types of mascara brushes; the curved wand & dense bristles do a good job with my short & straight lashes whereby the coated & separated each lash evenly.
Alas, the same can’t be said for the formula! While it did make my lashes a little thicker I wouldn’t say I was very impressed with it. The formula promises to give my lashes a soft finish, but my drugstore mascaras offer me a softer finish. As I didn’t curl my eyelashes, it did a good job in lifting it up but after awhile there was a bit of flaking.
Wearing on my lips above for a daytime look the Veiled Rouge in Zinnia RD316. I really like the texture of this lipstick. It’s a sheer lipstick which is can be layered for a deeper shade, the texture is super smooth, it glides on like a lip balm and gives the perfect amount of colour.
For a nighttime look, I tried on the Perfect Rouge in Spellbound RD555 that is a deep brownish red shade. I really like this colour! It glides on smoothly and it’s highly pigmented. The texture is creamy & smooth; while not as creamy as the Veiled Rouge it definitely does offer some hydration to your lips. The colour is beautiful and is the perfect dark auburn colour that is perfect for Fall/Winter! I’ll definitely be wearing this colour a lot more now. 😀

I was told that this cream eye shadow is so long lasting, that it’ll survive even after a work out and of course I had to go and give it a try. #allforsciencebeauty
After an hour’s work out, I must say that 80% of the eye shadow was still there. Granted I wasn’t doing a super intense work out, but I do tend to sweat quite a bit regardless. I reckon as long as you’re not drenched in sweat, your eye shadow will still be about 60-80% on after! 🙂

Full Lash Serum. Clear formulation that promises to make your lashes longer, denser, fuller & more beautiful.
Quick thoughts:
Shimmering Cream Eye Colour: Good formulation, good colour payoff, good staying power.
Veiled Rouge: Creamy & moisturizing lipstick, ideal if you’re looking for a sheer wash of colour.
Perfect Rouge: Easy & smooth application, highly pigmented, decent staying power.
Full Lash Volume Mascara: Slight flaking, decent staying power, average volume.
Couldn’t exactly give my feedback on the Full Lash Serum just yet as you need a minimum of 8 weeks of daily use to see results. Will keep you updated on that!
Final verdict:
Go for the eye colour & lip products. The shades are deep & beautifully coloured which make them perfect for Fall/Winter, while the texture & formulation are a dream to apply.
