rif and I spent the entire of last week travelling, starting with a Melaka day trip on Saturday to show our good friend and his fiancée around. And also stuffed them with as much food as they could possibly stomach in a day.
I’ve come to accept that unless you’re an adventurous person, it’s not easy to take in so much (foreign) food in a day. But if you’re game for a chow tut, here’s my Top 10 Food to Eat in Melaka. Enjoy!
Went to Penang on Sunday, where rif and I spent some of quality time together after a hectic year-end. Unlike our usual binge session (if you want to binge, check out my Top 10 Food To Eat in Penang), we took it easy as we were there to relax. Did a bit of shopping, ate our favourite dishes and even checked out a few coffee joints there.
It was excruciatingly hot in Penang – felt like hell sometimes because it didn’t rain on the island and there were no clouds to provide shade. I didn’t even go to the beach and I because two shades darker.
Drove down to Ipoh for some curry noodles and white coffee, and then to Cameron Highlands for scones and the cold weather. I love the scones, but am not big on the weather. That’s for rif. Poor boy got food poisoning from lunch at Tanah Rata and was toilet bound the entire night. Had to rush him to the hospital in Tanah Rata for treatment and put him on the drip as he lost a lot of fluid. 🙁

Not a fabulous end to our holiday, but I still think it was a great getaway. Can’t wait to do another one soon. Time to look at the 2014 calendar and start planning! 😀
