The Westin Singapore on Marina Bay offers some of the best views of the city, which you can enjoy when you ask for a sea view room or opt to dine at any one of their restaurants. I like the view at Cook & Brew best – the hotel’s contemporary gastro bar-restaurant, which offers a stunning view of the bay.
Our premier sea view room is understated yet stylish, with shades of cream and brown that represents the Westin signature look and feel. Like all Westin hotels/resorts I’ve stayed at, I always look forward to the Heavenly Bed, which comes layered with soft white linens, plush duvet and several plush pillows for a good night’s rest.
The bathroom boasts a floor-to-ceiling window to allow for plenty of natural light; great for makeup application in the mornings, I feel. There is also a deep freestanding bathtub if you fancy a nice long soak, or a rainforest shower that leaves you refreshed after a bath.
Try the Tomahawk bone-in ribeye at Cook & Brew, which comes beautifully charred around the edges and pink at the centre. Portion is pretty huge so it’s great for sharing. The bone marrow and rougie foie gras is really decadent stuff but I personally loved the steamed white clams, served with house-cured pancetta, leeks, carrots and herbs.
Come night time, have a tipple or two at lobby lounge where live music plays in the background, and let the view of the harbour mesmerize you. That one of my favourite bits at The Westin Singapore as I really appreciate a bar/lounge with a view.
Seasonal Tastes has two walls of floor-to-ceiling windows for plenty of natural light and a view of Marina Bay and South China Sea. The buffet breakfast features a SuperFoodsRx™ section, along with local favourites such as fried rice, curries and a made-to-order egg station. Breakfast starts from 6am till 11am daily – perfect for those who want to sleep in a little more.
The hotel is located downtown in the financial district, so you get pretty good access to the shops, restaurants (Lau Pa Sat is just a short walk away) and also the casino. Getting around is fairly easy as you can always call for a taxi or take a little stroll to the MRT station nearby (Downtown).
