Valentine’s Day is an occasion most girls (or at least the ones I know) look forward to each year — the thought of receiving flowers and gifts from their other half, and the idea of dressing up for a romantic date. Here are 7 looks that the Bangsar Babe team put together, featuring items from Peep Boutique, Mori Pin and Zalora.
Look #1: Casual chic
I think this look is simple yet feminine due to the lace details on the skirt and also the combination of peach and red. While I would usually paired the skirt with a white top, the red gives it a different look and feel, while retaining a casual-esque look.

Look #2: Juliet in Red
This asymmetrical dress from Peep Boutique comes with lace details on the top, and an off shoulder cut to show off a bit of skin. It’s flirty and fun, and I paired it with a blue floral clutch. Nude pumps would work nicely here as it elongates the legs, but I prefer strappy heels as I tend to associate pumps with office attire.
Look #3: Oriental Chic
Since Valentine’s Day falls on the same day as Chinese New Year, this lace cheongsam would fit in nicely for both occasions. It’s well-fitted yet modest, so even the most conservative of family members wouldn’t oppose.
Look #4: Short and Sweet
With rompers and jumpsuits being all the rage, this is one of my favourites where there’s a hint of skin around the waist through the sheer lace details. It’s understated yet feminine — shows you’re put together yet elegant.
Look #5: Femme Fatale

Off shoulder top from ZALORA
For those wanting to bring our their lady vamp, this look does it. A black off shoulder top with fitted white skirt and edgy shoes — don’t forget to throw on bold lips for that wow effect. It’s definitely different and shows a different side of you.
Look #6: Flirty Monroe
If you’re a girly kind of girl and want to show just that, this look would be right up your alley. I like how the dress is puffy at the bottom for just a touch of flair, as it gives away a Marilyn Monroe feel when there’s a bit of wind. Don’t worry, it’s just a figure of speech as you won’t be showing more skin that you desire.

Look #7: Japanese Doll
I absolutely adore the lace details on this outfit — a two-piece that’s not too sheer but enough to show of your feminine side. It’s easy to dress this look up; all you need is a pair of nude heels, coral lips and a hat and you’re good to go!
