One tapered trousers, five looks.

Tapered trousers have totally taken over my life! I have been searching high & low for the perfect pair for the longest time and finally found this! I wanted one that sat right at the waist to nip it in with a slight carrot leg to create a slimmer & taller silhouette. Of course, the functional side pockets don’t hurt! ;)

Not sure what to wear your tapered trousers with? Here are 5 looks you can easily recreate with simple pieces you have in your wardrobe!

#1 Feeling Formal

1

Tapered trousers have always been pegged as a semi to formal attire. The tailored waist & tapered length adds to the polished vibe. To keep things a lighthearted with a hint of colour, I paired up the pants with a peach coloured lace top to add a hint of texture to the look.

Wear this with the top tucked into for a sleek vibe and polish off your look with a pair of pointed pumps, cat eye sunnies for fierceness & a sliver of bangles.

#2 Oh So Fancy

4

An off-shoulder top looks good on everyone and works well with everything! Here I paired up a black off-shoulder crop top with a bold bling necklace and skyscraper strappy heels for a chic vibe.

This look is perfect for everyone who lives in black & white! The necklace adds the necessary sparkle this looks need to take it from drab to fab!

#3 Flirty Feels

Love colours & living colourfully? A pair of white pants is a great base canvas for adding pops of colours in your outfits. Show off a little skin in this crazily hot weather by opting for a sheer crochet crop.

It’s all in the accessories! Bold colourful ethnic inspired necklace with a clutch in a similar colour palette work in harmony with the blue pumps & soft pink top.

#4 Shades of White

10

I love white. I love all-white outfits. I understand that an all-white outfit is not for everyone as living in Malaysia your beautiful white pieces are subjected to droplets of curry!

With this look I chose to keep things simple & clean by playing with light shades of white, cream & nude. The knitted crop top adds a touch of interest to an otherwise simple outfit while the accessories add a touch of class to complete the look.

#5 Nonchalant in Normcore

13

Unfussy and created just for those lazier days where you still gotta look your best but don’t want to look like you did. Accessories are keys to taking your look from drab to fab. Here I layered on a chunky silver necklace with a monochromatic tribal choker over a simple grey crop top.

Throw on a trusty pair of flatforms or sneakers (your choice!) and you’re ready to dash out the door! To elevate this look, a bold lip colour will always work.
