Fuego at Troika Sky Dining
Dining with a view has always been one that tops my list of places to visit and the latest addition to Troika Sky Dining – Fuego – makes one of those places. This casual restaurant and bar overlooks the KL Twin Towers and offers a panoramic view of the city skyline on a good day.
Anchovy Guacamole with chips
Fuego means ‘fire’ in Spanish and the menu is South American with a selection of guacamole appetisers — classic, anchovies, olives, salmon roe and super spicy. The anchovy guacamole was really good, with bits of sundried tomatoes, spring onion, lemon and a savoury finish from the fish.
Habanero Chilli Stew with Brazilian Rice
Fiery hot
There’s a sunset combo (between 6pm to 8pm) that changes monthly. When we were there, it was a combo of two Caipirinhas and a Habanero Chilli Stew (RM75++). The cocktail was wicked, with a burst of zest from the lime and mint leaves. I liked the tingling sensation from the habanero in the stew — might be a bit too spicy for some but it was my kind of dish.

They do a good ceviche here as well; I had some at a friend’s wedding held at Fuego recently. Also good was the Salt Baked Potato & Foie Gras (RM65), topped with sage Hollandaise and balsamic reduction. The potato was fluffy at the centre, with a buttery richness from the perfectly cooked liver. I would order this again, and again, and again.

Service has been pretty efficient thus far. Do come early to catch the sunset as the view from Fuego is really beautiful. That is, if there isn’t any issue with haze or rain. When I was there with rif, the weather unfortunately, wasn’t so good. But during our friend’s wedding, the view of the skyline was perfect. :)

Verdict: Definitely a place to consider for dinner/drinks with a view.
