rif and I went for a harbour cruise when we visited Sydney and it was one of the best experiences we had in the city. Weather was great, which allowed for good photo-taking and I got to really see Sydney for all her beauty. We were also lucky because we went for the cruise on a weekday and it wasn’t holiday season, so the ship wasn’t swamped the tourists.
The skyline was so beautiful and so clear that afternoon. We wanted to get drinks but the wind was rather strong and knocked quite a few (champagne) glasses over so me being Chinese and all, didn’t want to risk losing my glass of bubbly and indirectly, my money. Hahahaha! You can opt to drink your bubbly inside the cruise ship but what’s the fun in that? You’ll miss out on all the sights.
The cruise took us across the entire main harbour with great views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, Sydney Opera House and other landmarks such as Fort Denison, Point Piper (home to some of the most expensive and exclusive homes in Australia) and Woolloomooloo Naval dockyard. rif was so fascinated with the sights that he couldn’t stop taking pictures throughout the entire cruise. 😆
We got the iVenture Card for AUD99, which allowed us to visit three attractions (including this Majestic cruise). Can’t wait to do this again when we visit Sydney in the future! 🙂
