Arthur’s Day at SOULed OUT
This Friday (28 September 2012), join SOULed OUT Sri Hartamas in celebrating Arthur’s Day with pints of Guinness and Guinness infused dishes. Guests will be entertained by the bubbly Serena C and the musical talents of Reshmonu and Jaclyn Victor, followed by a Musical Fireworks Finale.
To celebrate Arthur’s legacy, SOULed OUT is offering four Guinness infused dishes – Guinness Lamb Burger (RM24), Guinness Battered Fish & Chips (RM30), Meatballs in Guinness Sauce (RM22) and Guinness Yakitori Chicken (RM16).
I had a sneak tasting of the dishes on offer, and the Guinness Yakitori Chicken was my favourite. The chicken pieces were smooth and tender, and coated with the sticky-sweet Yakitori sauce. The Guinness flavour doesn’t hit you immediately, but only towards the end.
If you opt for the lamb burger, ask for it to be cooked medium or medium well. That way, the patty remains juicy and flavourful. I found the meatballs average – I like my meatballs slathered in a thick and tangy tomato based sauce. SOULed OUT’s version is less piquant but bittersweet from the caramelized onions and beer.
Portions are fairly decent. The fish & chips batter was crunchy from the Guinness, while the flesh remained flaky and smooth. And you get to wash it down with a nice cold pint of Guinness, or do it my style – with Guinness Lychee Shooters!
By the way, stand a chance to win dining vouchers to SOULed OUT, 7atenine and W.I.P by joining the Bangsar Babe Blog Giveaway 2012!

guinness lamb burger! saya nak! i wish souled out would have a drive-through counter (like mcd’s) where we can take away their burgers 😀
Hahahaha!! Maybe you can suggest it to the management. 😉
Ahem, should it not be Arthur’s day, lol? When I saw the RSS feed update, I thought it was a book launch.
OMG! Thanks for pointing that out. I typed so fast I didn’t realised I spelt it wrongly. Lol 😛
One of my all time fave outlets to makan after all these years. Souled Out has been pretty much our dating scene from their early days before they shifted to their current spot.
Waaaa…good memories!
