These days, I find it difficult to juggle with work, blog and our new home as all requires time and effort. There’s only so much I can stomach without wanting to scream my lungs out. Often, it is work that gets under my skin which then affects the blog because I usually don’t have the mood to attend reviews or events after that.
Since I’m pretty well-stocked with beer at home, I usually self soothe when I get off work. I’ve also taken solace in Arenaa Diner because it serves affordable beer and isn’t too far from office. So I can always run back to fix shit at work. Just in case.
I only discovered that Arenaa Diner serves reasonable Western food..from rif, who doesn’t even work in KL. The fish & chips here is pretty decent and for RM9.90, you get 4 pieces of fried dory fillet and a generous portion of chips. You can also customize your plate – there’s pasta, burger patty, fish & chips and chicken. I once ate a hearty plate of pasta + burger patty + fish fillet, and that set me back about RM12 or RM13.
During lunchtime, you can order any meal of your choice and top up RM1 for a drink (iced lemonade/lemon tea). And since portion is substantial, I’m full till dinnertime. I haven’t tried the carbonara or spaghetti bolognese yet, but judging from my colleague’s expression, it ought to be pretty decent.

Yup. Walkable. Just exit Masjid Jamek and walk towards the Telekom building or Menara Maybank. :)
