When rif and I were in Hong Kong, we visited The Peak (highest point on Hong Kong island) to enjoy the view of the city and its harbour. I’m not a fan of touristy spots in general, but since it was one of the must-see places in Hong Kong, I went anyway.
Even on a week night, the crowd was maddening. There was a long queue at the foot of the mountain and some tourists were pretty aggressive. I remember being shoved aside by even elderly tourists just so they could get into the tram. Can’t imagine what the weekend crowd is like. 😯
Annoying tourists aside, the view was really something. We stayed up there for an hour just to take in the sight of impressive skyscrapers and Victoria Harbour. The Peak Galleria has a free-entry observation deck, and if you want to shop, there are quite a number of shopping and dining options available.
To get to The Peak, take the MTR to Central Station and use Exit J2. Here’s the official website for more info.

went here on daytime, seem like the night view is more spectacular!
Yeah, night time nicer. You should go again!
