Crayon Burger, SS15 Subang

Om nom nom nom…

With so many burger joints mushrooming in Klang Valley, rif and I gave in to this burger craze at Crayon Burger. The décor was basic, with colourful art on white walls. I was there on a Sunday and was thankful I didn’t have to queue.

To place an order, refer to the blackboard near the counter with chalk drawings of the burgers. I tried the Zombie (RM14) and Peanut Butter Bacon (RM15), and topped up RM5 for fries and bottomless drink.

Milk bun, vege bun, red bun, pink bun & black sesame bun

Zombie Burger

Zombie comprises Australian grass fed beef patty, Swiss cheese and onion ketchup between a charcoal bun. While it is a popular item on the menu, I found this rather average. The bun was too soft, while the patty didn’t really pack much flavour.

Beef patty

Peanut Butter Bacon Burger

The Peanut Butter Bacon Burger was a bit better. Raspberry jam, peanut butter, beef patty and crispy beef bacon in a pink bun, this savoury-sweet combination wasn’t great, but not terrible either.

Roughly the size of my palm

For RM15, I found the burgers small and hardly substantial. They need to work on the patties and bun texture too.

Go n try Burger Junkyard first…less queue…I m off to The Grind Burger Bar tonite…wanna try their Big Black Dog and a Porky burger =)

  3. Yeah, I was just about to say that the burgers looked small and one probably wouldn’t be enough! Their bun colours look more vibrant since their opening though.. Do they actually taste different from each other, or is it just all purely colouring?

    1. Bangsar Babe

Yeah, I actually ate both the burgers. Rif didn’t eat any lol.

Not sure if it’s colouring or natural colours; they said it’s natural though.

Hello, i saw this restaurant on my way to dinner yesterday, and its quite packed at nite.

Anyway, just to ask, have u try the cham bagel at SS15? if you haven’t, give it a try dear 🙂 its freshly baked New York-style bagels suitable for breakfast or even snacks during tea time.

      Hi azue,

Thanks for the recommendation. Will check it out when I’m in the area. 🙂
