There’s nothing I like more than a casual Sunday brunch with good company. Brunch gives me the best of both worlds – a nutritious, more elaborate breakfast with casual socialising. Leisurely and filling; it’s a win-win situation for me.

Breakfast casserole – love the presentation!

A good friend recently invited me to brunch at her place and it was an offer I couldn’t refuse. I’m glad I went, because I got to try all these, and more (I was a little late, so I didn’t get to snap pictures of the other brunch dishes).

Smoked salmon and goat cheese mix on an egg white omelette

Potato latkes with stewed apples, sour cream, gherkin and pastrami

Croissant with cheese and mushrooms

My favourite — French toast with fresh fruits and maple syrup

Mexican inspired — fiery tomato salsa, eggs and tortilla base

Potato “fritters” with sour cream and horseradish

Sweet potato “fritters” with sour cream, tomato salsa and crab flakes

It was comfort brunch and my mood picked up after that. Some dishes could have been smaller — we could barely walk after that.

I wouldn’t mind waking up to the smell of pancakes, omelette and casserole every morning. On second thought, maybe not — I have a wedding gown to wear!

KY & AugustDiners – LOL! Will ask her to open a cafe so we can all go there for brunch. =P

Julian – Yup, made with love!

minchow – She's a food lover. Will intro her to you one of these days. Then you can hint that you'll make a good friend! 😀

Sean – I thought so too. With the amount of things she fed me, I reckon she might have been cooking since 8am!

    Alison – My friend's home. 🙂

    Baby – Me too!

Joe – Then you can come home and prepare brunch for us all! Hehehe…
