I’ve been thinking long and hard when it comes to conceptualising the next Bangsar Babe blog header and its succession plans – a photo series. Like my previous concept headers, this header has to reflect the brand as it is and the “yin yang” factor has to be present.
Shared this idea with rif since all the previous concepts came from him, and he thought it was a good addition to the series of headers we’ve done in the past. I wanted to pull off the leather jacket look with a pretty tulle skirt for that edgy yet girly effect and threw in a Chanel for more character. We did the photoshoot in several back alleys in Bangsar which I thought was a brilliant suggestion by Rebecca Viveash, my photographer for this shoot.
Rebecca is by far the easiest and most exciting photographer I’ve worked with. She’s cool, super fun and outgoing, and made me feel very comfortable during the photoshoot session. Some of the shots she took were candid, including the hair tossing head shot we selected for this blog header. The photos have a lot of movement and energy – exactly what I was looking for, and more!
That’s because Rebecca who’s quite the artist did some colour render on top of the photographs and they turned out brilliant. I love the sketch effects and it looks somewhat graffiti and very “Sex in the City”. The lighting was perfect that morning – we started shooting at 7.30am and wrapped up within an hour.
So here it is…*drum rolls* the updated Bangsar Babe blog header, by Rebecca Viveash.
There were so many photos to choose from so instead of sticking to just one, I’m going to update the blog header on a regular basis so you can see her many amazing shots! :)
