I went for the Aaron Craze dinner with Kronenbourg pairing last week, thanks to Elynn of Carlsberg Malaysia, who extended the invitation to me. The event started at 7.30pm but traffic was horrendous and I was heading into town from Shah Alam.
And ended up being 1.5 hours and three courses late. 😯 😯 😯
Photos were taken with the Samsung S4 and I used the inapp filters to achieve the photo outcome. My favourite filter is vignette. 🙂
But I got to eat the main course – Poached Barramundi with Yellow Darwin Sauce and Pak Choi. Ordered the Wasabi Crusted Lamb with Braised Chinese Leeks for my brother and that chinaman said it was too rare for him. Then he started eating my fish.
I’m starting to like beer and food pairing – it’s a lot more casual and I like that I don’t have to nose my beer or gargle it in my mouth to explore the nuances of flavours. Don’t get me wrong, wine pairing dinners are awesome but sometimes, I like to eat and drink without having to think or evaluate.
Yes, I’m growing older and lazier. 😛
