I recently watched this video that reminded me of my mum. When I was growing up, she was protective, naggy and overly caring. Now that I’m all grown up, she still babies me.
She makes me soup, reminds me to take my medicine, insists on driving me for my medical check-ups and calls me every day. And I’ll admit: I like that she does that. Most of the time.
One of the darndest things she does is to call me when I’m at work or in a meeting, telling me how her smart phone isn’t working and that she can’t hear the person on the other line. So I have to rush back after work, only to find that she hasn’t restarted her phone for more than a month. Hence the lag. Another funny incident was when she tried to look through the camera lens of my iPhone 5 and exclaimed, “Why I can’t see anything in the camera??” Hahaha that was epic!!
We’ve gone through ups and downs, and now that I’m older and more mature, we communicate better. I would miss her when I don’t see her for a few days and when rif and I were on honeymoon, I “tango-ed” her just to chit chat. Lol
Happy Mother’s Day Mummy! I don’t say “I love you” very often, but know that I mean it. :)

Our mothers are the best! What haven’t they taught us?
