I recently had dinner at Shanky Restaurant, SS2 with my family. We ordered claypot pork belly with salted fish, salad tofu, seng kua tofu, stir fried fish with ginger & spring onions, marmite pork ribs, yam basket and fish head beehoon.

The pork belly was well-cooked, fully flavoured by the salted fish and black sauce. I thought the salad tofu tasted great. It was something different compared to the usual tofu dishes you get from these ‘tai chow’ places.

The seng kua tofu was disappointing as it lacked flavour. This was my least favourite dish. The stir fried fish was not bad. It was nicely fried with ginger, spring onions, light soy sauce and rice wine. My mum loved it. Marmite pork ribs were very tender and well marinated.
