Lim Fried Chicken, Glenmarie
Fried chicken is something I crave for constantly – it’s almost like an antidote for any shitty moments that life hurls at me and also a form of reward for a job well done. When they are fresh from the fryer like the ones at Lim Fried Chicken in Glenmarie, every wrong becomes right. In my eyes at least.

Spacious interior
Formerly in SS14, Lim Fried Chicken has relocated to their current outlet in Glenmarie, Shah Alam and while the new shop is further, it’s a more comfortable dining experience versus the former location. It no longer opens from 2.30pm onwards – business hours are from 8am to 5pm daily. So you can now eat fried chicken for breakfast. 😀

Fresh from the fryer
The chicken is sold as a whole leg and you can opt to eat this with nasi lemak or chee cheong fun. This time around, I went for the latter as I didn’t care much for the nasi lemak. The chee cheong fun with curry sauce tasted decent and made a good accompaniment to the fried chicken.

Chee cheong fun with long beans and curry

Perfectly crisp skin and a juicy centre
As expected, the fried chicken (RM6.50 per whole leg) was glorious. It was freshly fried with golden brown, crisp skin and a juicy centre. It was so good I couldn’t be bothered with calories or cholesterol. I had two whole legs on my own and you will too, if you happen to love fried chicken.

Hello Aunty Lim
I love that they only use the thigh and drumstick of the chicken, because the thigh happens to be my favourite part. What’s your preferred chicken part?

How many chicken whole legs can you eat?
Ambiance: 6.5/10
Price: 6/10
Food: 7.5/10 (pork free)
Verdict: Still one of the tastiest fried chickens I’ve eaten.

I have visited to their branch in Subang Jaya. Not bad. Served in big portion and price are affordable.
