It was such a hot Sunday that I was craving for my usual cendol fix again. Not just any cendol, but the cendol from SS15, Subang Jaya. Drove all the way there to satisfy my cravings for this sinful concoction. rif brought me to this place almost a year ago and since then I’ve been coming here for cendol almost every weekend. They used to sell their cendol from a van opposite the Shell petrol station but have now relocated to a cooler spot just down the road (near KFC). It’s quite easy to spot…just follow the human line.
rif and I had a large bowl each. Short strands of pandan jelly, red beans and sweet corn in shaved ice drizzled with a generous amount of thick palm sugar and topped with fresh coconut milk. MMmmMm…how can you say no to this?? It’s so good that you will be planning on ordering a second bowl…even before you finish your first. (in my case…even after a big bowl)
A large bowl cost RM 1.70 while a small bowl is RM 1.20. You can add pulut (glutinous rice) into your cendol for an additional RM 0.20. rif immediately spooned mouthfuls of the cendol into his mouth before I could even snap a close-up picture. *grins*
