My birthday celebration was a huge surprise. I thought it was going to be a quiet one because most of my friends told me they had plans already. rif took me to Tamarind Springs for dinner where I tucked into a glass of chardonnay and stuffed myself silly. Food was just alright by the way.
He told me we were heading to Marini’s for drinks after, so I followed lah. I was also a bit disappointed that my good friends didn’t do much other than wished me Happy Birthday, so I was feeling quite tulan at them.
Got caught in a jam in Ampang and rif suddenly decided to change venue to Tujo at Ascott KL. I do like going to Tujo, but I was quite fixed on Marini’s that night and even knew what drink I was going to order there. But he told me he didn’t manage to get a window seat at Marini’s (don’t know why I believed that) so there was no point going.
Ok lor. So we went to Tujo since he told me they had a “sky bar” there as well. At that point, I was a bit tipsy (from the chardonnay, 2 pints of beer in the evening and a bottle of Moscato that afternoon) to question him.
Walked into the private room still thinking where the damn sky bar is hahaha. And the whole gang was there. Kena con. Big time. I also had a really nice Chanel cake made by my sister in-law. Thank youuuu!!
I’m usually very suspicious and sometimes interrogative but surprises aren’t his thing so that was very unexpected. I was so shocked I forgot to take pictures of my awesome birthday cake so all pictures are courtesy of Susan. Thanks babe!
And I continued drinking champagne and whiskey. Thanks Fanny, for the complimentary champagne! And karaoke. A lot of karaoke. When I karaoke this hard, you know I’ve had too much to drink hahaha.
Don’t really remember opening my presents. Or how I passed out. But I had a rocking time. Thanks guys, for coming and celebrating my day with me. Love you all big time. 😀
Of course, my head was a blast the next morning when rif woke me up for brunch at Nosh. I was too hungover for Full Monty. But I was also seriously hungry so I whacked the entire plate. And 1/3 of his breakfast. Then he took me for a foot massage (I love foot massages so you know what to do hehehe) at Sifu in Bangsar.
And then we ran an errand before I went home to crash for 2 hours. Woke up at 8.30pm and headed to dinner, went back home and crashed again till the next morning. All in, it was an awesome, awesome weekend.
