Fitness Goals

Fitness isn’t really my kind of thing – I never saw it as part of a lifestyle. I would work out, but only because there was a reason for me to do so. It is usually before a big event or a photoshoot, which would require me to look toned. Once that’s done with, I would go back to my lazy self until the next occasion calls for a toner physique.

It got to a point where I was feeling really sluggish before I decided I need to make exercising a lifestyle. I had to make it a regular routine in order to get healthier and fitter. My body isn’t as lean as it used to be; my arms and thighs although smallish, are soft and lacking muscles.

Staying motivated has been difficult for me as there are so many distractions around – food especially. It took me a while to get my priorities straight (still a working progress) and make a conscious effort to drag my lazy bum to the gym. And while I still crave fattening food after a workout session, I’ve chosen to eat healthier.

There’s still a long way to go for me, I’m sure. I don’t think I will refrain from my favourite foods completely but I am more careful with what I consume before and after a workout session. Fingers crossed, I’d get the hang of things and successfully make working out a lifestyle instead of a chore. 🙂
