Sometimes, I get to a point where I don’t give a shit about anything except a good cup of coffee. What that happens, I usually don’t feel like doing or eating anything, except have coffee, hoping to get a good cup to help reduce that blunt feeling in life.
Which is why I get quite bitchy when the coffee isn’t up to mark. I’m no coffee expert, but I know how I want my coffee. So far, EspressoLab has gotten it right at least 70% of the time. Making coffee requires fresh beans, good basics and a deft touch, and most of EspressoLab’s baristas are properly trained. Some better than others.
That said, I’m not a fan of their coffee art but I do give them credit for trying. Besides, I did tell them I didn’t want any more leaf or heart shapes haha. So the guy made me a Red Indian, which looked like a lion to me. I have no idea what rif’s latte art is.
But the latte (RM12) is good and I’m glad they are now in Bangsar Shopping Centre so I can get my fix anytime. I do think the coffee cups have grown smaller, so I get less contentment out of each cup now. Other than that, it’s still good coffee. The best I can get in Klang Valley, for now.
