One of the few things that attracted us to Club Med Kani is its all-inclusive factor, on top of the 5 Trident Luxury Services available. Kani Island is exclusive to Club Med, boasting clear waters, gorgeous scenery and white sandy beach.

There are two restaurants at Club Med Kani – Vehli and The Kandu. Vehli serves as the main restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The menu comprise Asian and International selection that rotates daily. At The Kandu, you can enjoy your meals overlooking the lagoon. This restaurant also serves late breakfast and snacks until 6pm.

One of my favourite places in Club Med Kani is the bar – Main Bar and Iru Bar. There’s nothing like basking under the sun with a nice glass of mojito in hand. And they make a pretty good Bloody Mary too.

We also enjoyed a spa session at Mandara Spa and it was amazing. This service is not included in the all-inclusive package though. We opted for the Balinese massage, priced at USD135 per person for an hour, if I’m not mistaken. rif said it was the best massage he’s had in a long time.

Other activities available at Club Med Kani include snorkeling, sailing, scuba diving, jet-ski and more. You can also join the outdoor excursions (additional cost) – lobster picnic, Male town visit, Blue Lagoon, whatever tickles your fancy. At night, the GOs put on a show to entertain guests while they tuck into more drinks from Iru Bar.

As a Lagoon Suite guest, we enjoyed Manta Lounge’s 5 trident luxury space where we lounged on the hammock, comfy sofa, use the wi-fi and enjoy drinks (champagne included) from the open bar. And let’s not forget the nibbles – foie gras on toast, pancake and sweet treats available.

Besides our private beach, we chilled out at the main beach rather often. Yes, for eye candy and free flow alcohol. Unfortunately, most Asian girls were clad in long maxi dresses, large sun hats and cardigans which only came off after 6pm. That said, the westerners were in teeny weeny bikinis, so I got to ‘cuci mata’ banyak banyak. #noiamnotgay

Throughout our 7-day stay at Club Med Kani, we found the GOs very pleasant. As for the local staff, language was a small barrier but their polite nature made up for it. There was a Thai celebrity whom I spotted while taking a dip in the pool. Quite good looking and buff too. Even rif thought so. We were checking people out together throughout our stay in Club Med Kani! :mrgreen:

I had a ball of a time, right until I left the resort. The GOs bid us farewell and like every Club Med worldwide, they waved goodbye until we couldn’t see them anymore.

It really was the best and most relaxing vacation I’ve had. I couldn’t have asked for a better honeymoon. Of course, going back to work the following day was a miserable ordeal. I couldn’t get over the Club Med Kani syndrome!
