My brother bought me lunch at Brussels Beer Café in Menara Hap Seng … because if he didn’t, I was going to release very embarrassing growing up photos of him online. :mrgreen:

No la, the #truestory was … I was being transferred out of KL so he bought me lunch. Which is a good change because it is usually me who has to buy him lunch. If I knew he was paying for lunch, I would have ordered three pints of beer.

The boy insisted Brussels Beer Café serves a damn good pork burger so I gave it a try. If I’m not mistaken, the burger was RM18 – pretty decent pricing considering the portion. I don’t claim to be a pork burger expert like some people, but this was pretty good.

The patty was juicy and sat on a bed of streaky bacon. I also liked the thickly cut fries, which was awesome with mayonnaise and mustard.

He had the set lunch (RM19.80++) – creamy fettuccine with mushroom slices. I didn’t care much for this, but it was good value for money. The set came with a drink and access to the buffet style salad bar. We also shared a plate of siew yuk because it was Friday. Yes, my Friday lunches are usually heavy.

This was just alright in my books. While the pork was tender with a good amount of fat, the skin wasn’t as crackly as I liked it to be. We both had a cup of latte to cap off lunch. It was nothing to shout about, but still, a good pick me up.
