Home Food Reviews Pizzeria Mozza Review, Marina Bay Sands

Pizzeria Mozza is one of the Celebrity restaurants at Marina Bay Sands and I got to dine there during my stay at Marina Bay Sands recently. It was a combined group dinner – Malaysian media and Australian media – and we tucked into a full course meal of antipasti, salad, pizza and dessert.

Cauliflower Fritti

I couldn’t decide which antipasti I liked better, for both the cauliflower and calamari were tasty in their own way. The calamari rings were soft and tender, and aromatic from the olive oil and oregano.

Nancy’s chopped salad with radicchio, salame, aged provolone, ceci and pepperoncini

Salads are never my thing. But this salad had me going for seconds. I especially enjoyed the smooth and creamy texture of the provolone. Between the two pizzas, I liked the one prosciutto better. It had all the prerequisites in a pizza – crisp crust, well-cured ham, crunchy leaves, and just the right amount of cheese.

Funghi misti with fontina, taleggio and thyme

The mushroom pizza was also tasty – generously topped with mushroom, cheese and herbs. Note that you will need to eat the pizza as quickly as possible, for the crust becomes soggy after being exposed for too long. Takeaway isn’t a good option, unless you plan to microwave your pizza when you get back.

Banana gelato pie, hot fudge and candied hazelnuts

I would come here just for the banana gelato pie, with warm hot fudge and candied hazelnuts. A slice is large enough to share, but keep your greedy claws off mine. :D I spied burrata cheese on the menu, so that calls for a revisit. In December I hope.

Singapore Sling

For some aperitivo, head over to Osteria Mozza next door. Osteria Mozza’s bar manager, Lucas Swallow entertained us over a few rounds of his delicious cocktails, including his rendition of the famous Singapore Sling, made with DOM Benedictine, gin, cherry brandy, bitters and lemon juice. I’d choose this version over the original Singapore Sling anytime.

Peach Bellinis

Another cocktail I fancied at Osteria was the Peach Bellini. I felt Lucas’ version was nicer than the one I had at Ku De Ta.

Ricotta cheese on crackers

The ricotta cheese on cracker was lovely. Topped with some fresh thyme, it was light yet rich in flavour. Way better than boring old peanuts or chips, if you ask me. Osteria Mozza offers diners a more formal dining experience, with specialty dishes, finest Italian wines and your own personal wait-staff. Now who wouldn’t want that? ;)

You’ll like these then. Generous toppings, and I love the pizza dough — they use sourdough. Super yums! ;)
