Back then, we faced many problems (we were young and not ready for something so serious), and decided to call it quits after 6 months. But we got back together after high school and kept moving ahead ever since. Looking back, I guess breaking up was a good thing (for me at least) because I appreciate Wei Jien and the relationship much more the second time around. Like every relationship, we have our ups and downs. But we pulled through each obstacle and emerged stronger.

In English, it’s “Wow…the both of you have such long fate together!”
A teacher exclaimed that, when I visited him at school recently to hand him the invitation card to our wedding dinner. Wei Jien and I started dating when we were 16, but many people (teachers especially) thought it wasn’t going to work out. Only this teacher I’m inviting supported our relationship throughout high school.
