Home Food Reviews Pizza Milano @ Bangsar

Located directly behind Pizza Hut, Pizza Milano offers the same things the former does — pizza and pasta. It seemed like a direct competition, but one visit to Pizza Milano was more than enough for me to conclude, that it was not like Pizza Hut.The mushroom soup (canned version) was a too salty, but the garlic bread was decent — soft, buttery and garlicky. Pizzas were a disaster. I’ve never eaten such poorly made pizzas before. Even the sub-standard Canadian Pizza was better. The pizza base was dry, rough-ish and crumbly. Crumbly is only positive…if you talking about scones, apple crumble or pies. Not pizza. To sum it up in one word, the topping for the seafood supreme was ABYSMAL. The tuna flakes were powdery, the squid rings were rubbery and the prawns were of the frozen kind. Everything tasted bland and fishy. No amount of tobasco sauce could save this.Vegetarian pizza was better, but it was still not up to mark. Using the same dreadful pizza base, the topping was limp and soggy. You would be better off buying frozen pizza from the supermarket and popping it into the oven. Fettuccini Carbonara tasted weird. The sauce was the most un-carbonara tasting sauce I’ve had, I kid you not. Sticky, gloppy, and one-dimension in taste, don’t bother ordering this. Beef lasagna was the most edible dish we had that night. And it wasn’t even good in my books. The frozen ones from supermarkets taste better, I reckon. Dessert was alright, but hardly memorable.

Single scoop waffles with kiwi topping

Dinner was a horrible affair, and a total waste of stomach space. We didn’t bother finishing the pizzas. To be fair, the service was quite good. But the food tasted so bad, I don’t think I would ever go back.

Ambiance: 6/10
Price: 6/10
Food: 2/10 (halal)
Verdict: Try at your own risk.

yikes, the photos of the pizzas look good though. the ingredients SEEM kinda generously topped and the veggies look fresh. but ya, if the crust fails, then it's difficult to rescue…

leo – It was!! I'm pretty sure you'd hate it too. Since your favourite place in Pizza Uno @ Centrepoint right? =)

Sean – Generous ingredients, but the crust and everything tasted bad. ~_~

Ian – Hahaha…don't bother! You'd be better off eating at the mamak.

Joe – LOL. They have branched in 1U and KLCC. Dunno how they can survive with such food…

You're right – they are in direct competition. Both serve rubbish food catered to the same retarded crowd.

The pizza dough looks too thick. I usually prefer the thin crusted ones.

Hmmm maybe you were unlucky that day hahaha! You should try their bolognese it's nice! Not everything there is bad. I brought few friends there and they keep going back there to eat. It's not that bad, c'mon! :D

Dont know much about their pizza as i have given up hope on Malaysian’s pizza, but their beef spaghetti bolognese is pretty good. If i give it a 10, probably i will only give a 5 for Puzza hut and 6 for papa john. In fact their spaghetti tastes better than most “fancy” restaurants i had tried.

Agreed with you its carbonara tastes horrible, and their chicken meatball is just “wrong”.
