Home Food Reviews Terrace Cafe @ Putrajaya Marriott

Looking at what happened, I’m glad I came out of this nightmare alive. I could have been dragged longer, I could have hit my head on the pavement harder, I could have been stabbed if I refused to let go of my bag…the many ‘could haves’.

Besides my own parent, rif’s parents were also very supportive throughout the ordeal — they gave me a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S2100 to replace my stolen camera. While it is pretty easy to use, I will need to get used to the camera. I’ve been using Canon for almost 8 years! Here’s a short food review; something I managed to save in my hard disk a few weeks back – Terrace Cafe @ Putrajaya Marriott. His parents are fans of buffets and they love eating out, so weekend lunches with them are fun. They know the best places to eat and are getting used to my food blogging. Just the other day, his parents forbade someone from digging into the food, so that I could snap a picture. *grins*

My plate, round 1

Food at Terrace Cafe wasn’t great, and neither were the selections. I enjoyed the chicken pie and bakso soup, but that was about it. Both the beef and lamb were gamey, but edible. Desserts fared better than the food, but it was still within the average category. The bread and butter pudding was quite good, as was the cheesecake which disappeared in half an hour. Don’t bother with the ais kacang; I only had it because I wanted something icy. And yes, I like maraschino cherries, evident from the ais kacang and ice cream picture. rif knows it, so he gets them for me. If you’re out with me and you have a maraschino cherry adorning your cocktail, I’ll shamelessly take it!

DIY Affogato

Lunch was nothing to shout about, but I enjoyed the company. Weekend outings are not common in my family, so hanging out with rif’s family is a nice change for me.

The one who stood by me through good and bad times

Ambiance: 7/10
Price: 6/10
Food: 4/10 (halal)
Verdict: Unless you’re around the area, I wouldn’t recommend this place to you.
