Beef or chicken? Chicken or fish?

I have never liked the food in Malaysia Airlines (the food in Thai Airways is better), but I’ve gotten pretty decent service whenever I fly with them. My parents choose MAS over Thai Airways when we went to Bangkok recently. In Thai Airways, I was given a menu card, with proper descriptions of the meal selection. But in MAS, they just go, “Beef or chicken? Chicken or fish?” How are the passengers suppose to know what to choose? Be specific! I had the fish with noodles. The meal came with a slice of fruitcake and chocolates which I enjoyed more than the meal itself. Maybe it was the air pressure or it might have been just me, but I found the food very salty. And I couldn’t figure out what the gravy was. It was neither spicy, sweet or peppery. =_= But I liked what they gave me for dessert — ice cream. Service on that flight was alright. One of the stewardesses had to deal with a difficult passenger, and I thought she handled the matter quite tactfully. I would have whacked that passenger on the head with my 5-inch heels. Hahaha…I guess I’ll never qualify as a stewardess.

haha… passengers will run when they see you coming with the heels! I think I would hit their heads too! That's for being so fussy!

Wah Baskin Robbins ice-cream! Definitely better than the meal itself! Did you ask for seconds? Hehehe

Beef or Chicken?? Hahaha..i guess my reply will be "How you cook the beef? What you put into the chicken dish?"

yum yum baskin robbins. I've had probs with MAS food and the wrong descriptions given by the stewards/stewardesses.

  5. Hahaha! Yes, the menu makes a world of difference! On SQ flights, the menu preceeding the meal makes the meal sound practically mouth-watering, even if what actually materialises is far from it. It's proactive control! ;-)

minchow – Yup, but so 'potong steam' la when I see the real food. >(

LL – Most of them mumble their way through the descriptions. At least in Thai Airways, they give you menu cards, so despite the language barrier, I knew what they were going to serve.

    Pea – Ya…but so unnecessary hor? 0_o

    iamthewitch – Yup…they ran out. :-(

eiling – LOL…I got no patience for such people.
