Home Food Reviews Nasi Lemak @ Restaurant Sun Fatt Kee, Seapark PJ

While on a burger hunt earlier, we were left in the lurch when all 3 of our selected burger stalls were closed (on Sunday night). Since we were quite hungry, I decided to take rif and Jeen for some nasi lemak at Seapark PJ. Located next to Maybank in Seapark, I found out about this place more than 5 years ago from a friend who took me here when he first got his driving license. We placed our orders and within a few minutes, we were tucking into our piping hot plate of nasi lemak with ikan bilis, peanuts, freshly fried chicken and a sunny side up.Infused with coconut milk, the rice was fragrant, well-seperated and fluffy. The sambal was sweetish and not very spicy – great for those who can’t take too spicy food, but I would have preferred it spicier. Nonetheless, it went quite well with the rice and runny egg. We really enjoyed the fried chicken. Well-marinated, it was absolutely juicy and tender with crispy skin. A plate costs RM4.50, which I thought was pretty reasonable considering the size of the chicken. Apart from nasi lemak, quite a few people were ordering the mee goreng ayam. I’m so trying this on my next visit!

Ambiance: 4/10 (you sit at the roadside)
Price: 7/10
Food: 7/10
Verdict: Decent nasi lemak, reasonable prices. Plus you get to eat it piping hot even in the middle of the night!

That fried chicken is just perfect for midnight snacking!! SEA Park is too much of a drive away for me in the middle of the night though… my waistline would probably thank me for resisting too!

i agree on the nasi lemak though the portion of rice is small.. so usually go for 2nd helping :) btw, the drinks serve is not bad too..yummy..

Terence – Strange, I didn’t quite like the drinks. The teh tarik was very diluted…

Selba – Ya…it’s really yummy, but very fattening! =P

This was my favourite haunt for 2 years until my son stopped his Mandarin classes. Great chicken, piping hot and I thought marinated in ginger juice.

quite dangerous to sit by the roadside-the BKT stall in front is ok too.

These guys use recycled oil for frying so be careful as it is not good for health
