Home Food Reviews Vintry, Medan Damansara

I had dinner at Vintry on New Year’s Eve with rif, Jeen and Hoi Mun. We ordered roast pork, caramelised roast pork, blue cheese pork burger and angel hair pasta to share. The roast pork was quite delicious. It had the right fat and meat ratio with perfectly crackly skin. The pork meat was tender and well seasoned. Every bite was a divine melt of fat, meat and crackling. I’ve heard people sing praises of the caramelised roast pork, and I was curious to see what the fuss was about. Fried with sticky black sauce, it was easy to understand why they raved about it. However, I prefer the roast pork as I like the crispy “pok pok” effects of the skin. The angel hair pasta with caramelised roast pork was nothing to shout about. Topped with caramelised roast pork, the pasta was al-dente but a tad bland. I wasn’t impressed with this one.Everyone enjoyed the blue cheese pork burger, especially Jeen and rif. The pork patty was thick and topped with a generous spread of pungent blue cheese. The smell might be a little too overpowering for some, but if you’re a fan of blue cheese, you’ll love this!

Since it was New Year’s Eve, I expected the service to be crappy and slow but it was surprisingly decent. There were no friendly waiters but they were quite efficient. Dinner cost RM85.80 inclusive of tax and service charge. We didn’t drink any wine as we were supposed to meet a friend for drinks after.

Ambiance: 6.5/10
Price: 6.5/10

Food: 7/10 (non-halal)

Verdict: The roast pork and blue cheese pork burger are worth a try. It’s best to make reservations, as they get pretty crowded on weekends.

Oooh… I didn’t think I could ever say this… but I’ll take a leap… any feeling of pork overload at all by the end of the meal?

joe – i think if you go on weekdays without booking you might still get a table.

550ml – no pork overload as the meal was shared with 4. portions aren’t huge, they’re of decent (normal ppl) size. ;)
