I tend to eat the same things for lunch almost every Sunday. It would either be Robert’s CKT or chap fan. Last Sunday, rif decided to take me to Kean Fatt, SS3 for pork noodles. Almost all the patrons at the coffeeshop ordered the pork noodles.Manned by a team of husband and wife, the noodles are so popular that one has to wait at least half an hour. The uncle prepares the ingredients separately, and makes about 10 bowls at one go. A bowl comes with pork slices, intestines, liver, minced pork, some greens and your choice of noodle (kuey teow, yellow mee, or mee hoon). The soup is sweet and not overly porky (ideal for people like Jeen & Shum), seasoned with Chinese preserved vegetables and pepper, and topped with melt-in-the-mouth pork lard. A gastronomical delight. My only gripe is the not-so-big-portion, and we already ordered a large bowl. o_0
Price: 6/10 (a bit on the expensive side)
Verdict: If you can wait for 30 minutes (or more), go get yourself a bowl of pork noodles!
